How it works

What Mokii does, step by step.

Mokii watches one thing: whether anyone is home with your pets. Here's what happens when nobody is.

The three steps

  1. Draw your home

Mark out home on the map, then choose how long it can sit empty before Mokii speaks up.

  2. Invite your household

Everyone who lives with your pets joins your circle. While any of you is home, Mokii stays quiet.

  3. Choose who hears next

Add a neighbour, a friend or your sitter. If nobody's home in time, Mokii works down your list until someone answers.

What Mokii watches

You draw a zone around home. Each phone in your household tells Mokii whether it's inside that zone or away, even with the app closed. While anyone who lives with your pets is home, Mokii stays quiet.

When home has been empty too long

You choose how long home can sit empty. If nobody's back by then, Mokii alerts your household first. Anyone coming home resets the clock.

If nobody answers, Mokii moves to the next people on your list, in the order you chose, waiting as long as you said between each. Whoever gets the alert can reply: On my way holds off the next person, andCan't make it moves straight on.

Mokii reaches each person the way that works for them: a push notification if they have the app, or a text or phone call if they don't. The people in your household use the app so Mokii knows when they're home. Everyone else on your list doesn't need to install anything.

What Mokii isn't

  • Not a pet tracker. It knows whether people are home, not where your pet is.
  • Not a vet or an emergency service. It tells people your pets may need someone. What happens next is up to them.
  • Not a camera. There's no feed to watch. Mokii works from your phone's location, nothing else.
